Militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to give an order for the immediate withdrawal of the military from his town – Gbaramatu kingdom. Gbaramatu kingdom, with headquarters atOporoza, in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, had been raided by military since the resumption of militancy by the acclaimed Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), which had added to the economic debacle of an already bleeding nation. The military siege was further reinforced last Saturday, after multiple attacks on Chevron’s oil facilities which are mostly located in Gbaramatu kingdom. He might have bowed out and accepted defeat, in other to give Nigerians the change they so much seek and desire at a time when we felt he is not good enough we need someone better. But one cannot forget some of his wise and memorable words which has brought him fame and recognition around the world. PRESS STATEMENT ONCURRENT FUEL SITUATION IN NIGERIA We have just finished a meeting of various stakeholders presided over by His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The meeting had in attendance the Leadership of the Senate, House of Representatives, Governors Forum, and Labour Unions (NLC, TUC, NUPENG, and PENGASSAN).The meeting reviewed: 1. The current fuel scarcity and supply difficulties in the country. 2. The exorbitant prices being paid by Nigerians for the product. These prices range on the average from N150 to N250 per litre currently. 3. The meeting also noted that the main reason for the current problem is the inability of importers of petroleum products to source foreign exchange at the official rate due to the massive decline of foreign exchange earnings of the federal government. Innocent body and soul of a female student of great citadel of knowledge Osun State polytechnic iree into the coldhands of death in the early hours of yesterday Monday 9th, May, 2016 in an ugly motor accident in Ikirun. The said female student was unlucky and lost herlife when her reckless and drunkbiker (Olokada) was trying to overtake a long-truck conveying bags of beans from the right on the bank road of Ikirun. However, the two careless drivers were quickly tracked and handed over to law enforcement agents and transfered to Osogbo division of NPF as soon as the victim was confirmed dead and also taken to Titilope Hospital for a morgue treatment.
