Aftermath of the robbery incident at Zenith bank in Imo State, it was gathered that the gallant officer who staged the armed robbers in a gun duel died after sustaining gunshot injuries.

According to his wife's interview in Punch newspaper, he died from gunshot wounds sustained in the shoot-out. He was buried in april.
