Project Fame: Audience Revolts To Save Winner From Eviction (Photos)

There are myriad of reasons why MTN Project Fame remains West Africa's number one music reality show; one of which is the fantastic vocal talents on display. While the contestants battle for the fame and fortune that comes with winning the reality TV show, sometimes the journey may end up in the bitter disappointment of eviction. And when the sword of eviction descends, it is the end of the road as far as the affected contestants' stay in the Academy is concerned....

However history was made during the second elimination show at the ongoing MTN Project Fame Season 9 as an audience revolt during the live show led to the reinstatement of an evicted contestant. Winner, who alongside Solomon, were initially slated for eviction was saved as the audience protested the decision to evict Winner.

The show kicked off with a fabulous performance from the all contestants. The atmosphere was tense as no one wanted their favourite contestant out of the show. Yusuph, Solomon, Winner, Mirabel and Pere were on probation and had to prove themselves once again to remain in the academy. After their performances, Yusuph was saved by the audience's votes, Pere was saved by the Project Fame faculty and Mirabel was saved by the other contestants.

It became a very emotional moment for the contestants and the audience as Solomon and Winner said their goodbyes. Winner had won the heart of the audience and they  were not ready to see her leave the show. Even Praiz, project fame alumnus and new Judge, offered to do a song collaboration with the both of them. Just as she was about to do her final performance, the crowd broke into chanting, requesting that Winner remains in the academy.

In the end, the Faculty and the Judges decided to give her another chance and she was readmitted into the Academy, amid tumultuous applause from the audience. She may have survived eviction this time, but, how far will Winner go in MTN Project Fame season 9?
Catch exciting episodes....
