Siasia Super Eagles New Coach Again As Oliseh Resigns

Nigeria former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has been reappointed as the new manager of the Nigerian national teamback following the resignation of Sunday Oliseh early on FridaySamson Siasia has been re-appointed Nigeria coach, hours after Sunday Oliseh threw in the towel.

He will be assisted by Nigeria U20 coach Emmanuel Amuneke, Salisu Yusuf  and Alloy Agu ahead of next month's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt.

The NFF announced the developments via its website after a meeting of the Technical and Development Committee onFriday.

According to Chris Green, chairman of the Technical Committee, the coaching crew will work under the office of the NFF Technical Director Shaibu Amodu ahead ofthe crucial qualification duel against the Pharaohs.

"We have decided as a matter of urgency to get a consortium of coaches to oversee the team in the mean time," Green told media upon concluding a three-hour long meeting today in Abuja.

"We have two very important matches coming up in [one in] Kaduna and the otherin Cario which seem late in the time. [Oliseh's resignation] came as a rude shock.

"We were not guarded when this event happened. We need to do what we ought to get the best of the very bad situation," he concluded.Siasia will return to take charge of the Super Eagles combining with leading the Dream Team VI to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro later in the year.

He had a brief stint in charge of the Super Eagles but was sacked barely 10 months in the saddle after he failed to lead the country to the 2012 Afcon in Gabon an Equatorial Guinea. Amuneke was coach of the Nigeria U17 team that won the Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile last year and he was recently promoted to the U20 side.

A bill for a law which prescribes five-year jail term for lecturers who engage in sexual relationship with students was passed for first reading in the Senate on Wednesday. The bill, sponsored by Sen.
